Ironclad Grape (organic)
$13.00
Ironclad grapes boast a remarkable, jet-black color and impressive disease resistance. Ironclad is a very old variety that originated in Philadelphia as a natural hybrid of two native species. Its typically used for making excellent wines, and is a very productive and rampant grower. Curious why you haven’t hear of such a remarkable and old variety? You have Prohibition to thank. The period in the 20s and 30s when the manufacturing, sale, and transportation of alcohol was banned in the US more or less killed the American wine-making industry for quite a while, with Ironclad’s popularity being one of the casualties of the policy.
Certified organic.
