Large freestone prune plume has blue skin and sweet excellent flavored yellow flesh. Ripens 1 week after Stanley in late August. Vigorous tree is very productive and bears at an early age. Ripens mid-September, Good for fresh eating, preserves, drying, and canning, and stores for two to four weeks when refrigerated. Tree is productive and fruit hangs well after ripening. Thinning is recommended. Sometimes prone to split-pit. Quite susceptible to black knot. Aphids can be a common problem to all plum trees. Hardy zones 5-9.
