Suruga Oriental Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) is large, somewhat flattish non-astringent fruit is orange-red in color and has thick, delicious, very sweet flesh up to 17/12% sugar content. Annual bearing tree ripens it’s crop late and is most recommended for areas with a long warm growing season. Fruits keep for a long time. Hardiness zones 7-10.
