Apple (Malus spp.)
We offer a selection of early to late ripening disease resistant varieties for an extended season of apple delight.
Sturdy long-lived trees adapt to a wide variety of climates and soils. They grow 15-20 feet, but can be kept smaller with pruning. We love to eat them fresh, preserved as applesauce, as well as cooked in pies and crisps. We also use any surplus for making delicious fresh cider. Most varieties demand 900 to 1200 hours of temperatures below 45 degrees. Need at least two for cross-pollination. Grafted Emla 111 rootstock. Zones 4-9.
