Northcountry Blueberry (Vaccinium sp.) has an attractive, sky blue colored fruit that is produced abundantly on this low, spreading shrub. It has a sweet wild blueberry flavor, and this fruit is small to medium 1/4″ in diameter. One of the earliest producing blueberry cultivars, it displays a profusion of dainty white tinged pink bell-shaped flowers in spring. It is a vigorous growing cultivar reaching bearing age in 2 years, and the fruits ripen in July. Northcountry has bright red fall colors. Â USDA Zones 4-8.
