Chestnut Crabapple (Organic)

$35.00

Chestnut Crabapple (Malus domestica) was first introduced in 1946 and produces a larger crabapple that is ~2″ in diameter and has a sweetish, nutty flavor and crisp texture. Chestnut crabapple trees covers themselves with large, aromatic, white flowers in spring (making this a great pollinator for other apple trees!) that turn into apples in the late summer to fall every year. They can handle a cold winter, and have been used for desserts, cider, pickling, applesauce, and ornamental or edible landscaping. Our Chestnut Crabapple trees are certified organic.
