Gordon Apple (Malus pumila) is a variety that is available as a bare root tree on semi-dwarf rootstock. Medium to large round apples have a green skin overlaid with bright red. Firm, crisp, fine textured, juicy, sweet-tart, great flavored white flesh has a great aroma and is good for eating fresh, baking, and cooking. Very heavy production occurs in areas with a mild winter.
Requires 300-500 hours annual chill below 45 °F. Ripens mid-August to Mid-October.
Cold hardy to USDA Zone 7
Sold bare root with 1/2 inch caliper.
