Nova Spy Early Apple (Organic)
$35.00
Introduced from Nova Scotia, Nova Spy starts bearing apples in just 3 years. The apple is large, red, crisp, and juicy. Its parentage includes Golden Delicious and Northern Spy, and it has the expected sweetness of Golden Delicious, but this is countered by the sharp tang of Northern Spy. The large fruits have a wonderful, tart-sweet, vanilla-like flavor and are excellent for fresh eating, pies and cider. This tree exhibits resistance to fire blight and scab and matures in mid-October. Best pollinators are: Liberty, Goldrush, McIntosh, Jonathan, Sweet 16 and Honeycrisp.
