Gold Azarole Hawthorn (Crataegus azarolus) (organic)

A beautiful small tree with shiny fragrant white flowers turning to golden-yellow fruit that is the size of a large blueberry. Has a sweet apple like flavor and is good for fresh eating, jams and other preserves. Azarole has been used for centuries in its native Mediterranean homeland as both a food and a medicine. Grows to 10 to 12 feet tall and is hardy zones 6-9.
