Monty Fuzzy Kiwi, “Montgomery”, (Actinidia deliciosa) is a chance seedling in New Zealand, discovered in the early 1950’s; introduced into cultivation about 1957. Fruit oblong, somewhat angular, widest at apex; of medium size; skin brownish with dense hairs. Flesh is light-green. Fruit ripens in early May. Vine is highly vigorous and productive, sometimes excessively so. Petals overlap only slightly at the base.
