Dimensions | 10 × 11 × 12 in |
Native to the Sierra Nevada range in California, the Giant Sequoia is the largest, most massive tree growing on Earth, only slightly shorter than the coast Redwood, but bigger in girth. They are handsome, evenly conical in youth, growing quickly to 60 to 100 feet. Dark green Cypress like foliage contrasts with the fissured red- brown bark. More cold and drought hardy than Coast Redwood, they are better adapted to the lower humidity and temperature extremes of interior climates. This rare tree makes a great specimen or grove.
