Wichita (Conventional)

$45.00

Available as a bare root tree, ‘Wichita’ is one of the most widely planted, and most productive, cultivars in Texas. When grown under suitably dry conditions, it has proven to be an outstanding and vigorous cultivar as a young tree – producing in just 5-7 years. Nuts are medium-sized with high percent kernel and good fill. The extreme susceptibility to scab and water-stage split condemn it for use in the Southeast. This variety also shows greater susceptability to freeze damage than others.

Current Stock: Bare root tree with 5/16″ caliper.
