Native to the Andes of South America, this subtropical, juicy, sweet-tart fruit, with flavor notes of tomato and passionfruit, can be eaten fresh, used in desserts, drinks, smoothies, salads, soups, sauces, and more. It is an excellent source of vitamins A, B, C, E, & Iron, and ripens late in the year, when many other fruits are not available.
